The whole process of breast implants was very exciting, the thought of gaining perfect breasts again after having a baby. Although i knew the complcations and risks involved i told myself that i wouldn't fall into that percentile rate of complications. Boy was i wrong. After 2 months of having my breast implants, i developed a breast abcess on my left breast. The infection got so bad that i was hospitalised. The abcess needed to be drained and cut therfore leaving my PS no choice but to remove the infected left breast implant. Due to the infection the left breast also had a servere case of capsular contracture. I am now walking around with one size A cup and one size C cup. I've also been told that i have to wait at least 3 months before he can put a new implant in. He didn't remove the capsule so i'm a bit worried about the capsular contracture reoccuring because the same pocket is being used. I'm now waiting in fear cause i don't know how it will end up. Any advice would be appreciated...

I'm so sorry you had to go through this. Here is what some doctors have to say about staph infections after augmentation. You should also consider posting this in our doctor Q & A section of the site. I'm sure you'd get good responses and many other women could benefit from your question, too.
