SmartXide: Stories

I am in my early 40's & had a Smartxide treatment to my face a couple weeks ago. Droopy eyelids, wrinkles, general laxity to the skin, & sun damage are what motivated me to consider this procedure. The price, downtime & after photos I saw clenched the deal. The treatment was relatively painless a lttle stinging here & there, but entirely tolerable. However, it was very painful after lidocaine cream wore off but before loritabs took affect. Wish I'd had pain meds prior to, could've taken them just as he started so when finished would've been more comfortable. Only needed pain meds the day of treatment, day 1 I already had no pain. I had read in numerous places that a 3 day recovery was required. Not true. The majority of treatment area peels the 3rd day after treatment (or 4th day). I also initially looked a lot worse than many photos I'd seen, but I looked exactly how the dr. said I would. Don't plan to go out, especially not to work. Give yourself 1 week to recover. By day 5 I could apply mineral powder & looked normal again, just a little pink. The results? So far so good. I do already notice some change but the real results won't be seen for another 2-5 months. Judging by what I see so far, I expect to be pleased w/ the end results. We'll see in the spring...
