Mother of 2 Toddlers Gets a Tummy Tuck and Hysterectomy - Austin, TX

I had a partial hysterectomy and full tummy tuck August 2nd. I stayed over night in the hospital. It's crazy to me that they would actually send you home after such a surgery. I would highly recommend staying at least one night. I had some nausea the first 12 hours but over all it wasn't to bad. I was able to recover at a friends house with my mom for the first 5 days. I have 2 toddler boys at home under the age of 3. Prescheduling lots of help is key.

I'm now 7 days post op and today I get my drains out and all stitches which seems more bothersome than the incision itself. Biggest challenge is not being able to pick up the kids or bend over.

Welcome to RealSelf!   Thank you for posting your review and sharing with us.

Two under the age of three...bless you!  So it's safe to say you don't get a lot of rest:)

You have made it through the worst stage and it is all up hill from here.  Keep us up to date on how you are doing.  And we would love to see some before and after pics if you have them.
