  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.

Happy Hump Day my RS Sistas

I am still lurking and waiting on clearance from my doctor. My lasts results were a little off and my doctor think it may have something to do with the different vitamins and herbs I recently added to my daily regiment. NTM, I am at the actual age of menopause so my hormones could add to my crazy readings as well.
Nevertheless, I was told to stop taking everything except my high blood pressure meds and to add vitamin D. I have another appointment this Thursday to send off for more lab work and discuss the possibilities of me having surgery.
Fingers crossed and prayers above for a clean bill of health. As much as I want this surgery I would prefer to have a clean bill of health over it all.
However, I am very thankful my blood pressure has been stable which is a huge stress reliever above everything else.
I am constantly stalking you ladies on RS and happy for you all. I am hopeful that I can join you ladies very soon to the flat side. :-)
Also be sure to google Embrace scar treatment. It's a little pricey but minimizes after surgery scars. I saw it on another RS sister page and watched some of the videos and it seems to be a great product. I will research more to see what are some of the reviews saying as well. If this works as well as it appears to work than it may be a GodSent product for us all. :-)
Until next time stay blessed :-)

Hello RS Beauties

Hello RS Beauties,
It's been a while since I have updated my page but I'm still watching the reviews of the RS ladies while on their journey. It's such a great motivator and educator for us so I want to personally thank everyone for graciously sharing.
As for myself, my blood pressure has been doing much better since my doctor has increased my meds dosage. Thank God!!!! I haven't heard back regarding my blood work but I plan on checking on that this week so I can narrow down a surgery date. If all goes accordingly, I will bring in 2016 with a new hot body. Keep me in your prayers.
Between choosing a doctor and trying to get my affairs in order it's been quite a roller coaster affair. Nevertheless, I'm still thankful to be on the ride.
As I was researching, I came across a new device that I thought would benefit for post surgery patients. I haven't seen anyone on RS mention it yet but thought it may be a great alternative to the raised toilet seat. It's a female urination device called Go Girl at Go-Girl.com . Apparently someone has found a way for us to pee while standing. Who would have thunk it?!?! It's actually a great idea especially when traveling and not wanting to use those nasty public restrooms.
Hopefully it catches on quick because I can only imagine what the person in the next stall is thinking.lol
However, I instantly thought of it for us during our recovery period. If anyone has tried this I would love to hear your feedback.
Side note: I remember reading a review of someone stating to be sure to store in high places because her toddler thought it was a trumpet. Lol
I immediately thought of my grandson running around with it and thought no way would I want that vision coming to life. lol
I have posted a pic for your viewing pleasure.

The search over ????????????????????

Hello Ladies,
It is with great pleasure to announce that my search for the perfect doctor for me is finally over. ????????????????????????I have decided to go with Dr R Morgan Davoudi in Duluth GA. Thanks to the ladies of RS I found Dr D and was impressed with the reviews received and the work performed.
What started out very rocky ended up exactly where it was suppose to. I was able to find someone that's able to do exactly what I want in one procedure.
Let me start by saying that once I entered the doors of his office I was impressed with the stylish and beautiful Decor immediately. I was told it was decorated by his wife who apprentently has exquisite taste. Once greeted by the lovely receptionist, I completed the necessary paperwork and was quickly escorted to a equally nice examining room. I can tell you at this point I was being reeled in quickly. Keep in mind my first consult was in an office where I unzipped my pants so desk clerks could see my problem area and make their own diagnosis of what was needed. So you can imagine how impressed I was to have an actual room where I was greeted by a beautiful well dressed Patient Coordinator and given an actual robe to put on before the Dr came in to speak with me.
Once Dr D entered the room along side his nurse I immediately felt right at home.
I could tell he was a perfectionist upon our initial meeting and wanted nothing more than for me to have the final results "we" deserved. I say "we" because I realized he was eager to see the final results of his work as much as I was.
In which case, its a WIN for me either way. ????
As an African American woman it was equally important for me to find someone that was familiar with women of color bodies and understood how to stitch us properly to try to avoid keloids which is primary his clientele base. This had a huge impact on my decision and made me very comfortable with the possibilities of what to expect. After he thoroughly checked my body the nurse took photos of my desired areas of need for future reference.
Once my examination was completed and I was fully dressed, I was escorted to another beautiful waiting area where the doctor did a presentation of what to expect on his flat screen television, provided additional pics of his fabulous work and answered more questions. At this point, you can probably guess that my mind was completely made up and I was bracing myself for the big price reveal. I thought to myself surely this is going to cost me my left and right arm along with my son and grandson right foot. lol
When the Lovely patient coordinator LaToya came in with the final price results to my surprise it was very close to the other quotes I had previously received. I was given two quotes because I wanted to see the difference if I added lipo to the extra fat under my bra along with the fat below my bra strap, tummy tuck, lipo full back and sides, fat transfer to hips and BBL. I opt to pay the addition $2k to get exactly what I wanted. My back is naturally broad and the last thing I wanted was to have fat come back to that area. And in hindsight it would save me a trip back to the office in the future. I've seen enough people on RS that have done just that which just racks on more surgical fees.
I love the fact that he was very upfront about my healing process and what to expect for doing these requests. However, he was certain with my frame that I would be more pleased with the outcome.
I am very excited and now waiting to have my annual physical and clearance from my doctor for the ok to proceed. The only catch is my high blood pressure has been less than cooperative. So I am allowing myself time to stabilize it before my physical exam with my primary physician next week. If given the ok I will set up my date to proceed to the other side.
Wish me luck ladies and if you have any herbal remedies for high blood pressure please do share because I am in need of it desperately. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
