I got it done-3/2/15

My surgery was yesterday morning at 10am. I ended up getting to Gwinnett medical center at about 8:45am. They took me straight back to pre op where I changed into a gown, peed into a cup for a pregnancy test and got an IV started. I was soooo full of nerves but all the nurses made me feel a bit more comfortable. My husband was able to hang out with me until my surgery. The PS came to draw on me and then anesthesia took me back to drug me up. I next thing I remembered was a nurse talking to me as I was waking up in phase 1 of recovery. I had about a 5 in pain level so she put some drugs through my IV and it was gone. They checked my stats and told me the surgery went well. I was then taken to phase 2 of recovery where they brought my husband back in and gave me some ginger ale and graham crackers to eat. I was still out of it. The doc checked up on me. We watched a video on emptying the drains-well my hubby did lol. They alsi gave him post op instructions and by 2-3ish we were on the way home.
I slept a lot when I got home. It was hard to keep my eyes open. I have had no nausea and my pain has been minimal. I am more sore where the drains are but that's about it.
My husband and mom have been helping with emptying the drains which has to be done 2-3 times a day.

My back feels great, like a weight was lifted. I haven't taken on the sports bra to look yet because I'm a little scared lol.

Update after Consultation and Approval

So I ended up only consulting with Dr. Earl Stephenson(Snellville) on January 19th and Dr. David Whiteman (Duluth) on February 3rd. I was told by both that I definitely need a breast reduction so my breast will fit my frame and eliminate my back/neck pain.
Dr. Stephenson was a little warmer than Dr. Whiteman but their techniques were pretty similar, just that Dr. Stephenson said he would not use drains with me.

Fast forward to yesterday 02/10/15 I got a call from Dr. Whiteman's office letting me know that the insurance has approved my surgery. Needless to say I'm excited to finally be this close but still nervous. I was not expecting to hear back until after the 19th of this month.
Anyway the insurance rep called me shortly after to choose which PS I wanted to go with. I told her I would call her back today with my decision so I have been doing more research on cost, their reviews and pictures all night.
I just came to the conclusion that I'm going with Dr. David Whiteman!!!!! My surgery date is March 2nd at 10am. I could have gotten an appointment as early as february 23rd but wanted the extra week to make sure I have everything in order.

I will post pictures of my before (or more like my now lol ) soon!!

I went from not having a flat chest to an explosion in high school. My breasts have continued to grow from there. I think I'm in like a 36 J, well last time I checked and that was when I was pregnant with my son. He is about to be a year old this month. I absolutely despise bra shopping lol. I have always had a small frame (well up until I had my son) so my breasts look huge on me.

So.... it's time to start my journey. I have horrible back pain, in between and under my breasts get sore, my bras eat into my shoulders and it hurts. My chiropractor told me almost 2 years ago I needed to get a reduction because it was pulling on my spine but I did not heed his advise at the time because I knew I wanted another baby. I'm done breast feeding now and have been for a few months. I'm excited just thinking of this back pain being gone and me being able to walk into a store to buy a bra with no problem :-) but I'm also anxious and scared of the whole procedure.

I have done a bit of research and will be calling to schedule consultation appointments with 3 plastic surgeons in Atlanta.
