"Hail to the High Profile"

You buy a bra 1 week post op, I buy a bottle of wine!

Today I am feeling pretty good. I have more energy during the day and rarely need to take an afternoon nap. I have moved back into my bed, but I am not yet sleeping through the night. I am typically a side sleeper and I have been trying to sleep mostly on my back in an elevated position. I know it sounds silly, but I think if I sleep too much on one side then the implants will shift and get off centered, haha. I sleep with a gazillion pillows to keep me upright and supported, but my lower back is taking a toll. Aside from that I still need assistance opening up medicine bottles, drink caps or reaching above my head. I have found ways to get up from a sitting position, but it is still painful to use my abdominal muscles or pull with my arms. The compression garment is so much more comfortable than the binder, but a b*tch to go to the bathroom when you are pushing fluids. That is all have to say about what to expect this first week post op. Now on to the best part!!

Love, love, love the results already! Yeah, they may be hard as rocks, but damn what an awesome sight to see. My tank tops look so much better on me since now I am able to fill them out. I was instructed to continue going braless to allow them to drop. The abdominal plication left me very bruised and swollen. I am still sore at the abdominal incision sites. The swelling has already gone down a bit from the first day. I lost 3 lbs so far. Yay! I hope to continue getting stronger and being more independent with each day and I pray that I will be able to start sleeping through the night again. I know that there will be many changes over the next several weeks and months, but there is one big milestone that I will be hitting at the end of the first week. Once I am done with the antibiotic (and since I stopped the narcs) I will be able to DRINK WINE AGAIN! Mother's of young children will understand the importance of this haha. So that is about it so far, will keep you all posted! Cheers!!!
