Breast Revision Scheduled

Last week my surgeon that my one breast is noticeably larger than the other. He did use 2 different sized implants, all in OR agreed it was a better balance since one of my breasts has less breast tissue going in. However, once my post-surgery swelling subsided, the size asymmetry was overcompensated for. The great news is that there is an easy fix (replace implant so both are the same), but I will now have a scar b/c he doesn't advise doing a revision via my armpit (that is my inscion point from original surgery). I continue to be grateful for such a conscientious surgeon who is also a perfectionist!! Keep me in your prayers on March 3rd. Xoxo

TT incision infection- ugh!

Hi Ladies- me again :)

Feeling a bit discouraged with my TT healing process. My TT was on Dec 1 and since I have had a problem with my incision closing up. There is a point in the middle where it has split open, so I have been needing to clean it out and pack it everyday (not fun!). It is about the size of a quarter.

My surgeon has been AMAZING and extremely attentive and vigilant. In fact, last Saturday he met me at the clinic during his day off and spent 2 1/2 hours to aggressively combat an infection that set in (IV antibiotics, removing sutures to open it up even more, removing necrosis, irrigating it.....) Thank goodness he numbed it first- but getting 5 shots into the incision HURT :(.

Now I am required to clean and repack it at LEAST 4 times per day. I will happily do WHATEVER I must to heal this along, but I must say, my "self-talk" is not so positive.

I keep thinking: "This is what you get for being so vain and having an elective surgery, etc."

My husband is trying to be very gracious and respectful- but I can tell he is feeling frustrated that the procedure has turned out to be such a debacle at this point (both financially with the unexpected hospital stay, and with my continued physical limitations). Of course, this makes me feel even more guilty for going through with the MM.

Need some encouragement :)

Boobs aren't dropping after almost 2 months- ADVICE ANYONE?

Hi amazing ladies! It is so fun to read all of your updates and see the fabulous progress the December gals are making in the healing process :) For a couple of you who are feeling a little discouraged at this point, I am relating a bit.

I am really needing advice/encouragement on what to do to make my implants start dropping. My surgery was on Dec 1 so I am almost at two months with no progress. I am worried that I got behind in exercises b/c during my emergency hospital stay (a couple days after my surgery) the nurse took away my band b/c I was having respiratory problems. So- I was sent home without one.

I also had (am still having) complications with my TT incision so that has been the focus for my surgeon and myself (I will post an update on that shortly). So- while I have tried to keep up with my implant exercises, I fear I haven't done a good enough job and it is "too late" to affect change.

Believe me- at this point I am being SUPER aggressive. I asked for the band back (my surgeon said he has never seen it "work" at this late stage but I could try), and am doing the exercises several times a day (pressing against the bathroom sink to be sure I am using enough pressure as my doctor suggests I need at this point).

Photos: my right side is the larger one (339cc mod plus) and my left side is the smaller one (304cc mod plus).

It is also apparent to me that they aren't "filling in" either. On the "front" view photo, you can see "flat" sides where my cleavage is (looks like of like a "triangle" shape between the boobs). Is this where the "fluffing" usually occurs when the implants drop?

Have any of you felt worried that your implants aren't dropping? If so, what did you do?

For others, how long has it taken for your implants to drop 100%?

Would LOVE your feedback :)

What surgeon spends 2 hours with a patient during the consultation, gives you his personal cell phone number after surgery, immediately returns texts, phone calls, emails AND would come back early from a vacation to see a patient on a Sunday evening to follow up on a recovery issue? Dr. Hardeep Dahliwal from Athenix, Bellevue- that's who! He is so congenial, attentive, extremely well-educated, attuned to safety, confident in his skill, and realistic about optimal results (even if not absolutely my ideal- he "tells it like it is"). Dahliwal. I am 100% THRILLED with my results- and, if there was something I didn't like, he is committed to fix it. Patient satisfaction is his utmost priority. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hardeep Dahliwal for any procedure you are considering!
