Had restylane injected in my Nasopharynegal folds(spelling)..simply the vertical lines on the let and right of the mouth...starting under the nostrils. Although subtle, I just had two swollen lines to the "side" of each fold.

Doc injected an enzyme to neutralize and we tried a few months later...same thing happened. He said it tens to settle where it wants.

Find another doctor. It is likely not the filler (Restylane), it is the Filler (doctor) that determines the result. Perhaps this renowned plastic surgeon is well known because of surgical expertise, rather than being a good injector. Another option is to try Juvederm, Restylane's competition

There could indeed be a technique dependent issue. Usually there would be some improvement. I also do prefer Juvederm for this area. However, make sure it is a filler that is needed, not tightening. No amount of filler will compensate for drooping of tissues. So often we see bad results from fillers when they try to do "too much". Brent Moelleken MD FACS Plastic surgeon, Beverly Hills Assoc.
