5 months post op- Gastric sleeve
Five months have flown by! As of today i have lost 100 pounds total! I totally watch what i eat..i exercise at least five days a week. I have tried a few bites of stuff i shouldn't have had but i totally have the will power to take one bite and stop. I still get nauseous if i eat too fast or too much. I have had to buy new clothes, bras, underwear etc. and have donated all of my 5x clothes to charity. I now wear a 2x top and 22 pants. This all seems so surreal to me....100 pounds...i wonder if i can lose another 77 pounds to reach my goal??
Surgery 9/1/15 - Heres how its going so far
So, im 8 weeks post op. I have lost a total of 55 pounds including the 19 i lost pre op. So that 36 pounds since surgery. Im averaging about 4.5 pounds a week! I have learned very quickly what my new tummy likes and dislikes. If i eat too much i get this weird pain like sensation in my tummy, and usually don't feel well for a few hours. This also happens if i drink too fast. I still cant drink 64 ounces of fluid but im closer to 32-40 ounces. I have to drink two protein shakes daily to get my 75-80 grams of protein each day because i simply cant eat enough regular food to meet that goal. I am walking a mile a day and started resistance bands exercises!. I feel great!
3 weeks post op
Well it certainly has been a interesting journey thus far. I only get nauseous now if i drink too fast . I have started soft foods this week, so far so good. I still have a burning pain in my belly from internal sutures(its getting better). Im surprised at how i really dont care what others are eating. I have learned it is hard for me to get my two protein shakes and two 1/4 cup meals in daily. 64oz of water daily?? HA!! i still cant do that....im so full of protein shakes and now that ive started the soft foods....im lucky to get 40 oz of water...still don't feel dehydrated though. Ok so my numbers are this...At the start of my pre op diet i was 377...day of surgery 358...now im weighing in at.....340...whoop whoop!!!
