So far so good :-) had open rhinoplasty today at 2pm local time, its 9pm now. Been bothered with my nose since i was about 12 years old, espesially in profile while smiling. So what i and the doctor agreed on was to remove the bump, lift the tip a little bit and cut the muscles that makes my nose point down when i smile. As i can see i dont have any bruises yet, and my eyes were only a little bit swollen right after surgery. When is it normal to get the black eyes? I also have tampons in my nose thats supposed to be removed in a week, the same time as the cast. I cant wait, it cant be worse than before anyways ;-) btw: i'm 26

2 days since surgery! Have gotten a little bit swollen on the left eye, and a hint of blueish, but nothing to complaint about. Slept like 12 hours this night, that might be the reason why i feel a little more puffed than the other days. Still no pain at all, and i think the nostrils looks great already! Can i go for a walk in fresh air? Its kind of cold outside..

So., today is sunday, i had my surgery on thursday. So its day 3 post op. Still no pain at all, just a little bit swollen between the eyes. Started the day with walking 30min with my dog, fresh air feels nice. Its getting really boring lying on the sofa, usually i like being lazy, but not when i have to :-) thinking about starting a blog or something. Or else i could just play the sims, pretend that it is my life these long days. Not looking forward to removing the cast and tampons. Guessing the tampons will be very stuck after 7 days :-S

But i actually thinks the nose looks more downwarded than before.. I like it better than my old nose from every other angle thou. Help me? Posted some pictures. Going to see the doctor in 3 months.

By the way, I don't know if you've ever heard this before, but you kind of remind me of Jennifer Lawrence :)

Try not to get too worked up about it, it's a process. I totally get where your coming from, there is one particular angle on my new nose that bugs me too, but swelling has a lot to do with it! Also the tip takes the longest to go down, unfortunately. I'll post pics!

Prominent nose loots better in front pictures and less attractive in angles if it's pointy. But you're a beautiful girl, skip your attention from your nose to your beautiful parts and stop staring in the mirror. It's still recovering, and you can't judge it now.

I dont want it to be prominent, want to feel secure from all angles..

My surgeon told me that 90% of the swelling is gone in one year, and the remaining 10% will be gone by the end of the second year. It's hard, but we have to be patient. Only time will tell. I think you're so pretty, droop or no droop.

Thanks.. I doesnt feel swollen, but i guess it is

Honestly, you looked beautiful before the surgery, but I can definitely see why you got it done. Your new nose defines your face better.

before surgery i had a droopy tip! & after surgery i also felt that my tip was even more droopy than before and i was soo worried. but it was just the swelling! i am now 8 months post op and it doesnt droop at all anymore.. however, it is still swollen so i cant wait to see what it will look like when it fully heals.. you really just have to be paitent!!!

you are a beautiful woman before n after ... please do not cause further bleeding and allow your nose to heal well ... and protect your nose from the sun :)

I think you should wait at least a full year for your nose to recover and do it's healing thing before you decide on revision. That way you don't have to take off more time from work so soon, and also you will give your nose enough time to see the final results and decide then whether you like it or not. :)

P.S. I think you are a very pretty lady in both your before and after pics! Love your eyes!

I have a bump that is not completely gone and feels like (and is, as confirmed by my doc) bone. I had an open procedure and not enough bone was taken down, though at the time of operating it had looked like it was :/ I will be having it rasped in the near future so don't freak out too much! It is nothing that cannot be handled later if it is indeed excess bone that you want removed and it also won't be as big of an operation... though obviously nobody wants to have to have further work done, it happens! However it could also just be swelling but I suggest talking with your surgeon if it is a concern of yours! It still looks great to me, regardless. Best wishes!

Yes iknow.. But just dont think my boss will be happy with me taking more vacation, we are just 2 waitresses there are working now, used to be 6.. Thats the main issue, dont want to wait till summerholidays, cause i love the sun!

Love, do you feel that your tip is raised? In the before picture side photos it kind of looks like it wasn't raised. In your front picture now you look like an elf in LOTR, completely flawless and unique. As I said bone gives you character, but tastes are different and if you want without bone just wait, see if it gets better for you and if not, with a small procedure it can be reduced! I love your noserills

Haha, i feel the elf thing, i like it :-) the tip is raised from the front, but the columea (?) is very swollen, and is supposed to be almost not showing, and the tip will raise a bit when the swelling comes down, said the doc. I like a sharp nose, just not a downwarded one. 'Maybe it will hava another look when the tip raises a bit.

You're so pretty; both your before and after pics! I'm sure that your nose looking downwarded is just because you're still so early in the recovery process - but just know that your nose looks amazing, and for only being little over a week out of surgery, it looks super natural and suits your face very nicely. The best part is that you know it can only get better from here, so as the weeks pass, you'll start to notice more differences and love it even more :)

Thanks.. Yeah, im really happy others dont see that its swollen or different!

try not to get your nose bleeding ... it delays healing if it bleeds ... leave the congealed blood alone, as it will eventually come away with the mucus ... my ps advised to let it all flush out on its own ... best wishes
