10 weeks post op :)

It's seems like forever since I posted. I wanted to get on and hopefully help anyone out there decide on a Dr. And share some updated pictures. I can't begin to explain how happy I am with choosing Dr. CHEN. My overall experience with him and his staff has been Amazing! I'm very happy I decided to choose him for my surgery. Healing has been a little tough. I did go through a little bit of depression. I saw the scars, and it was tough. I've never been good with big change and this was huge. I've gradually learned to be patient with the healing process, and pray alot. it's been so much better. The scarring is healing and looking much better. I've been applying Aloe ftom my aloe plant snd also Mederma PM. So far so good. I'm so happy with my decision.

4 days post op.....

Thank God the pain is getting better. I can actually walk around a little less slouched. Which is relief for my lower back ache. Had to call my Dr's office first thing this morning because I was itching badly. I felt like I had hundreds of mosquitos biting around my abdomen and back areas!!!!! Talk about irritating! !!!!! I got an ok from the dr office to take benadryl. It's helped a little bit. My drains have went from a light red color to a light yellowish red color with 50% less output. I'm looking forward to my follow up appt tomorrow afternoon. I'm praying that they come out. I can't wait to see what's underneath all this gauze.

4 days PO

Although I slept on the recliner again , I had a pretty good night's rest. I'm taking my antibiotic and pain meds around the clock, and making sure I eat before, to avoid the nauseated feeling. I'm still walking a little hunch back. My lower back area feels very sore from sleeping erect and walking hunchback. The only big complaint I have is the itchy sensation in my flank, tummy, and breast areas. My breasts feel very swollen and warm (I hope that's normal). I plan on calling Dr. Chens office to see if I can take benadryl. The itching is unbearable!!!!! So far, the pain is getting much better. I want to sneak a peek. I can't wait until my post op appt. tomorrow. Will post pictures soon.

Im very happy with Dr. Chen. My first initial consultation with him was great. (He has also perfomed surgery on a few of my friends). He sat down with me and he answered all of my questions and concerns. He took measurements and had me try on sizers. I felt very comfortable with him. Knowing that he also has a Harvard background impressed me. My surgery was performed this Thursday at 7:00 am. I wore a bikini bottom so he could mark where id like the scar for my tummy tuck to be. I'm very OCD with perfection so i wanted to make sure that my scar would be in a lower, less conspicuous area. Although I was very nervous, the staff at The Surgery Center was great and made me feel very comfortable. I just remember the anesthesiologist telling me that he was going to put something in my IV to help me relax. I was out like a light and don't remember much after that point. I woke up 4 hours later very thankful that the surgery went well. I have been in a lot of pain and hunch back, due to the soreness. I'm scared of tearing open my tummy sutures. It feels like I got hit in my mid tummy area by a train; due to the muscle repair. I can't wait for my PO appt on Tuesday. I'm taking my pain meds regularly and I'm hoping to get rid of my drain pumps as soon as I see the dr. I'm so excited to see what's underneath all this gauze.
