Can Accolate Cure/prevent Capsular Contraction? - Alaska

Hello,
I initally got breast implants (525cc/silicone) a little over a year ago, and about 3 months after my surgery, I developed a capsular contraction on my right breast, possibly because I had some complications on my incision healing is what my surgeon told me. However, I just recently had my second surgery (1 year later) to correct my capsular contraction and also got bigger implants (600cc/silicone) put in both breasts (to fix a little of the sagging).

About 4 days after my surgery, my left breast developed an infection, but with medication it went away within several days...it's still in the healing process though. Right now it's 10 days after my surgery, and of course i'm still using my tight ace bandage.....my concern is I do not want to get another capsular contraction, and because of this infection i am more likely to develope one now. I'm very concerned, scared and worried....so I done some research and saw some websites saying that "Accolate" (asthma medication), helps prevent or cures capsular contractions. Is that true? Do you think I should ask my sugeon to prescribe me some of that medication anytime soon? Or what should I do at this point so that I can prevent getting another one....it already feels like my infected breast is getting tight and developing a contraction already. Help!

My rating:

Choose a doctor who doesn't rush through the process...my surgeon always seems like she's in a rush. Not good.

Hi there!

You posted this a couple weeks ago and I'm sorry I just now spotted it. How did this situation resolve? Did you speak to your surgeon about it? We'd love to know how you're doing now.
