Accent XL So Far, So Good

I first went to a leading NYC Dermo for this...

I first went to a leading NYC Dermo for this treatment and although it was only 15 min. for full thighs and partial buttocks, I had noticed my thighs were a little smaller. They did not rub.

I left this Dr. because it was only 15 mins. for the areas prescribed and the normal amount of time was a min. of 45 mins. They did not even give me a disposable thong. Even the way they applied the oil to my legs, I felt like I was being hosed down. They told me that they could not go over 15 mins. because my skin would blister, etc. I thought that was odd because even the Alma Laser website noted that it could take 45 mins. depending on the area. It was not a good experience. I felt like I did not get my full treatment for the price compared to what I have read in articles, etc.

I then went to another place and it was such a better experience. I was able to experience was a full treatment was like. It was the best. It felt like a hot stone massage. The person who did my treatment was very thorough. It was not rushed and she even applied the oil in a controlled way. The total time was over an hour (almost 1.5 hours) and I had no blisters (unlike what the other Dr. said). I was also given a disposable thong. She made sure that my skin did not over heat and I LOVED it. The treatment felt like a hot stone massage. Very relaxing.

My thighs feel tighter. I look forward to my 2nd treatment at this location. I am already responding positively to the Accent laser and I will let you know how my cellulite looks after all of my sessions are done.

Great review?

Hi, I forgot to update my original posting. I did the treatments and I was 8 pounds lighter and my legs looked A LOT better. WOW! Tigher, thinner and the cellilite was 90% not visable. HOWEVER, I did not go back for my follow up when I should have and now I notice the dimpling is coming back. I signed up for my maintenance sessions and I hope I did not wait too long that I will have to pay a lot more to get back to where I was last year. What I do not like is that it is so hard to schedule appointments at Laser Cosmetica. I would not recommend going to the midtown location. It is not managed properly. I had a 5:30 appt. and I got bumped because the Dermo. had a client for injectables and there was no room available for his patient, so I was bumped and I had to wait 40 minutes. When I went into the Accent room, there was bloody alcohol pads left and when the Accent clinician informed the Dr. of this mess he said, "CLEAN IT UP!". I see an established Dermo and this would NOT have occured in her office. Be wary of going to see a Dr. for injectables that are giving it in laser hair removal/skin tightening shops. If you can't have your own practice, that should tell you something about the Dr. I cannot wait to finish my sessions and I think I will maintain my results with endermologie. I heard that the Thermage new body tip is really good for the celluite, but I have not looked into it. I will look for another place to have the Accent for possible future maintenace, but I hope something else comes out that is even better than the Accent.
