“Zoom is Great... if You Are Ready for Those Zingers!!”

Had my teeth zoomed today. I had wanted to have them zoomed for some time but in the past decided to use the carbamide peroxide custom upper tray instead. There is currently a $150 special so I decided to take advantage of it.

I read several reviews which REALLY scared me. I have somewhat sensitive teeth... but wanted to at least try.

I had a thorough cleaning immediately prior to the procedure and the dentist explained that there would LIKELY be "shooting zingers" and sensitivity during and about 48 hours after so I thought felt prepared. They thoroughly covered my lips and gums and applied the whitening gel and lamp for the 1st of three 15min sessions. 5min... no big deal... 10, 11... nothing... piece of cake... I started drifting off to sleep... then ZING!!! You definitely know when you have one... wow!! I had 9 more BIG zingers (yes, I counted!) during the procedure but I wasn't going to give up.

Now, 6 hours, 3 Alleve and some numbing gel later, I am still getting some mild zings and aching. Nothing unbearable. My teeth weren't too bad to start so My uppers went up 1-1/2 shades and my lowers went up 2 shades. Not BRIGHT WHITE so I purchased some additional home trays to use in 5 days get them a little whiter...

I'm glad I did it. Just be ready for those aweful zingers and aching afterward!! Ouch!!
