“Lumpy 3 weeks after vaser on lower abs”

Vaser Liposuction: NOT worth it

Cost: $2,500
Pain: Uncomfortable
Vaser Liposuction satisfaction: Fair2 Star Rating: Fair
I do not recommend my Vaser Liposuction provider: Name not provided
Why: Don't know if it works yet
Seeking help:

I am 3 weeks post vaser on my lower abs. I look very lumpy all over. My dr. said it will go away and to keep massaging the area and wearing my spanx(the one they gave me). Is this true? How long will it take to go away? Will the massaging help? Did my doc mess me up? It looks so bad and lumpy : (
Review of Vaser Liposuction:

It was painful for about two days, I am worried cause it has been three weeks and I look so lumpy. Not sure if it was worth it yet.

Hi Nicky, any lipo can result in lumps, bumps and ropes of scar tissue. While in most cases, these would resolve over time, in MANY cases, they simply do not. This will be a waiting game for you. Give it at least 6 months. I just had Vaser High Def lipo on my entire torso, and am thrilled with the results. I had 2,000 ccs removed (about 8.5 cups' worth), so it was a fair amount. But I have NO lumps, bumps or ropes. This surgery corrected unsatisfying results from a lipo I had done 5 years ago. So you CAN get a revision if need be, but it's simply way too soon to think about that now. You don't want to add layers of scar tissue on top of each other. Ask your surgeon about getting ultrasound treatments and/or cold laser, to help resolve the bumps. You need to move NOW on this. These treatments stimulate the circulation and healing to the area while also softening up the tissue under your skin. You feel nothing. The treatments last 30 seconds to maybe 5 minutes per side. But the key is to treat the lumps before they really harden up. GOOD LUCK to you in getting this resolved, and let us know what your surgeon says.
