Uneven Nostrils After Rhinoplasty

Worth It
Spent: $7,000 in San Francisco, CA

I had a slight curve in my nose and a protuding columnella. The rhinosplasty successfully removed the bump on my nose and shortened the columnella, but I noticed my nostrils were uneven. Although it corrected slightly as it healed, it still remains uneven.

It has been almost 2 years since my rhinoplasty. One of my nostrils is shorter in length than the other nostril. Is it possible to stretch the skin around the shorter nostril to stretch it to match? Although I'd like both sides to look like the smaller nostril, I understand this may not be possible, since it is a shorter length.

My Doctor: Name not provided

My doctor/procedure was expensive and am although mostly happy, a little disappointing that in fixing an bump on my nose, it created an imperfection to feel self-conscious about.

Sometimes a cartilege graft can be inserted to change the shape of the nostril. The graft can be harvested frm your own ear cartilage. Whether or not this would be considered for you would have to be based on examination.
