Worth It
Spent: $5,500 in Columbus, Ohio

I had a tummy tuck and lipo. My experience was okay. Just a lot of pain. I had a tummy tuck because my stomach was grossly fat.

I had a full tummy tuck and lipo about eight days ago and am experiencing severe pain. The pain feels like needles are poking me in the stomach and it also feel like electricaal shock. Are the muscles attempting to reconnect? Are the nerves attempting to reconnect? The pain doesn't really hurt it just feels like firecrackers inside my stomach.

I am 1 week today, I have stoped taking pain medication but I am taking it easy...only because yesterday I felt great and cleaned some of my house but REALLY paid for it that evening and had to take some medicine. I would speak to your PS and see what he/she suggests.

I am not a physician, but I think it is the reconnection of the nerves that are sending these shocks through your stomach area. I experienced it too. It only lasted a couple days though. It will soon stop or lessen.

Had a tummy tuck on the 18th may 2009, took a stone of fat and skin from me, the cut goes 3/4 of the way round also tightened the muscles and a new belly button, came out of oparation great after the fist hour had no pain but felt like I had a very tight corset on was in hospital 2 nights, that was 18 days ago, still feel like i have a corset on and have some pain but not a lot, was wondering how long it will be before this tighness goes off a bit? scar is healing well but i am still feeling not very well, some days worse than others i am 65 years old It also said you can go back work after 2 to 3 weeks, as i am feeling i am not well enough to go work ( I am retired so I don't Work) would be greatfull to anyone that feels the same.

I had my surgery on the 22nd of May. I am 55 years old. I had been going to the gym for 2 years prior. I thought I would feel better faster because I was in good shape but I am finding out it takes a while no matter what. I have to go back to work Monday 2 weeks after surgery. I cannot stand up straight comfortably yet. But everyday I do feel better.

I had mine on the 19th. I am still sore. I went back to work 2 weeks after and that was pushing it for a desk job. I am almost standing straight but not there yet. I still have fluid building up and was just drained w a needle. I am 31 and uncomfortable when walking a distance, laying flat, getting up from sitting to long. other then that i am feeling good, Just need to take an easy.

Thank you for your comments. It's nice to know that people out there share your experiences. I am so grateful for you all. My physician explained to me that my nerves were attempting to reconnect. Said it was normal to feel those needle like pins inside the stomach. Remember to take it easy and not do too much.
