“Abdominoplasty for severe post-pregnancy diastasis rectus and hernia repair”
Tummy tuck: Worth it
Pain: Severe
I recently had a abdominoplasty with ventral hernia repair using muscle tightening and permacol.
I had the surgery to correct the massive diastasis rectus after having four very very large babies (over 10 pounds each). I am very fit and active and did not need any liposuction.
I had the procedure here in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Things are progressing normally I suppose, my belly button doesn't look great though, but I'm seeing the surgeon tomorrow to address this. I'm not sure if I'd recommend this, it is quite a lot pain to deal with.
My belly button isn't healing in my opinion. It's still quite pink and a bit weepy, but doesn't seem to be infected. my long scar seems fine, no pinkness, or weeping. Is this normal?
