Smartlipo on Abdominal Area

Not Sure
Spent: $7,300 in California

I had smart lipo four days ago on my lower and mid abdomin and also bra fat. So far, and while still swollen and bruised, I can see a difference. The only con is that I've read that bruising and pain is really minimal with this particular procedure, yet, it is quite painful with pretty significant - if not severe- bruising. But I remain optimistic that I'll be quite satisfied with the results.

I'm now four days post-op and obviously have quite a bit of swelling left. It's hard to tell if there's any drainage left because my lower abdomin (above the pubic line) looks so swollen, even though that area was not treated.

I've been eating really heathy over the last four days, I've cut out all sugar and fatty foods, eating nothing but fruits, vegetables and a lite, low calorie healthy dinner, but have not lost a single pound. I'm also walking 30 minutes a day. Its frustrating to be putting in so much effort NOT TO MENTION have smart lipo, and be the same exact weight I was the morning before my procedure.

I drained heavily the first two days and have had dry pads for the last 24 hours but am wondering what happens to any remaining fluid? Does it get re-absorbed into your body? What can I do to lose weight apart from the healthy diet I have been eating for the past four days?

I have had banana rolls underneath my ass cheeks since i was about 12 years old...i always hated them and losing weight didnt help them go away. so at the age of 23 i decided to get lipo,..after reseaching what kind of lipo should get, i chosed smartlipo because it was less down time, no major cutting of the skin and cheaper then regular liposuction. long story short..i was awake thru this procedure..it was painful and mind wrecking in some ways. After all that my results of this procedure did not improve my banana rolls it just made it look worst..(still lots of skin there) and i dont even want to go and try to fix the situation,..to go thru that pain again...No!..I do not recommend smartlipo..in this case, for banana rolls. better off using liposuction, at least you'll be asleep..and it will be gone when u wake up.!

I was told by my doctor the day of the procedure that anything that doesn't drain gets absorbed by the body and released. I have read almost every post on here. I would just be patient and don't worry about anything until at least the 2-3 week mark. I personally am on day 3 and am feeling fine however, it all depends on your body. I think my body has been through so many traumatic events, it just looks at this one and laughed saying "Is that all you got?" Throw some pictures up and people will tell if they can notice a difference. Anthony
