“Finally Did It!”

I finally had the smart lipo with vasor after contemplating the procedure for almost two years. I got my upper and lower abdomen along with my love handles done.

Today is now Sunday, May 24, 2009 just past midnight. I had my surgery this past Friday, May 22,2009.

The day of the surgery was fine. They started me off with two vicodin and oxycodone cocktail. That put me in a weird mood, then I received a couple of injections in my arms. That really hurt! During I didn't feel any pain really besides a few tugs. I remember telling the doctor that I felt it a couple of times, but overall it wasn't painful. I was out of it, but able to follow directions when given to me.

I remember putting on my pressure garment. For some reason, now, I think they should have ordered me a smaller one. I don't know if tighter is better or not. If someone has insight please let me know.

By 4 o'clock today, I will be two days post-op. I haven't really seen any real changes. I'm swollen with minimal bruising. There's bruising right below my sternum and my between my lower abdomen and pubic area. I only have four incisions which is great for me. It won't look as if people can connect the dots once I'm healed. I'm looking forward to seeing some great changes. I want dramatic changes. My starting weight is 216. I'm 5'9. A bit over weight, but I'm well proportioned.

I remember telling the doctor that I wanted this surgery to be his nobel prize winning surgery as if his career depended on it. I hope he took that to heart.

I will be uploading some before and after pictures for those who are interested. I go to my follow up exam this Tuesday. I will ask them for a copy of my before pics. Hopefully I can reload as I progress.
