“Septoplasty - Two Broken Noses Had Caused Breathing Problems”
Posted 8 Jul 2009
I had a septorhinoplasty operation done 5 days ago, and today I was washing my face when I accidentally hit my nose (it is still in the cast). It wasn't a hard hit - more like a slight knock with my fingers, but as I only had the operation 5 days ago, I was wondering if this could affect the healing process in any way?
Pros - Nose looks smaller. Not too painful.
Cons - Bruising is terrible. End result can vary, and takes a long time to establish the final look.
I did it as I broke my nose twice, resulting in me not being able to breathe out of my left nostril at all, and the fact that the two injuries left my nose disfigured - it being bent to one side, and having a rather large bump on the bridge.
