The implants have been in place for fourteen years. An overly zealous technician busted one of them during a routine mammogram. I am 59 years old.

What danger is there, if any, in NOT removing ruptured breast implants?
Great review?

Ruptured silicone implants need to be removed so that patients do not develop silicone migration. In particular, older implants that were placed more than ten years ago are more likely to have silicone spillage. The newer cohesive gel implants are much less likely to lead to silicone migration, but they still can.
