Open rhinoplasty with a silicone implant. Minimal pain although it was done under local anesthesia. It lasted for about 2.5 hours. Swelling subsided eventually, but one must be patient.

I have had open rhinoplasty and chin augmentation. Solid silicone implants were used for both. I also have medpor jaw implants secured with Titanium screws. I've had nose done in 2006, chin in 2007 and jaw just recently in Sept 2009. I was wondering if future bone resorption will compromise the aesthetic results of any of my implants? Also, are the aesthetic results permanent for all of them? Do I eventually have to have my implants removed or do they last a lifetime? On another note, does some buccal fat removal on the face cause aging? I hear that buccal fat on the face should never be removed because it mitigates the effects of aging. Is this true? Thanks a million!
