I Had a rhinoplasty septoplasty and turbinectomy open proceedure It has been 5 weeks since the operation I am of greek decent and since the surgery I am very dark under eyes still.

how long does it take for the dark circles under eyes to subside?

hey , i am greek too! well the dark circles after my operation were gone after 2 weeks or so. But my nose is still swollen:-( its been 7 weeks after mine

I still have the dark circles after 7 weeks :-( ...just waiting it out hoping they will eventually go away. my nose looks good still slight swelling but probably take 12 months and tip is still hard that will take time as well!

well i guess every person heals at a different way and rate. im sure if everything else is fine, the dark circles shouldn't be a concern. In fact my circles were yellow not dark:-) did the doctor also brake your nose bone to make it straight to improve your breathing? I guess our operations were quite close mine was at 8 october..

No doctor did not break my nose just straightened the cartlidge which was kinda obstructing my right airway. My nose on the outside was straightish but just had it improved, you could say. I bumped it twice when I was a kid, it still looks kinda the same but much better...Yeah I think I had my op on the 5th oct,eyes still have dark circles but are fading slowly,going OS on Xmas eve to Cyprus am hoping it clears up before I go :-( thats why it concerns me!

I had my rhino/septoplasty/turbinate reduction/deviated septum fix done 2 months ago and still have dark circles under my eyes. I had terrible bruising after surgery though. I can mostly cover it with makeup but I hope it goes away soon. A yellow colored coverup really helps.

Yeah I have resorted to makeup I have a great concealer I bought from clarins. My GP has also recommended Hirridoid bruise cream have just started using it, will let you know if it works. The specialist said it may take a long time prob months for the dark circles to go. :-(

because I had breathing problems and it was mostly covered by medicare (free medical Australia)
BTW my dark circles went after 6 months of op.
