I did it because the tip of my nose was very wide, droopy, and too large for my face. Did not have anything done to the bone only tip. I am from Guatemala and i did it with a board certified plastic surgeon.

I did not have any pain and the recovery was great. no bruising, no bleeding, Great but... It's been 7 weeks and my nose looks super swoleen does it really take 1 year to see resuls????

It's been 7 weeks and my nose looks super swoleen does it really take 1 year to see resuls???? I think my nose looks the same if not worst than before...I'm very tempted to pick my nose ...will I ruin my rhynoplasty if i mess with it?

I can see what you mean by the width. How are you doing now? I have been looking at other swelling comments and have heard not to rush into new surgery for 2 years as the tip can continue to change. Frustrating, though! Pleas continue to post a picture every few months,as this is very helpful to others in the same boat. We hopefully will watch the swelling go down with you!

I had rhinoplasty with septoplasty 1 year ago on August 12, 2008. It takes a long time to heal. I went through the same concerns and thoughts as you. Give it time...it will get better. My tip still is a bit stiff but my nose is now totally even. my nostrils looked crooked for a couple months afterwards. Be patient and if after 6 months you don't feel better I would definately talk to your dr about it.

Hi Thankx everybody for your advice...my nose is a working progress...i feel like its constantly changing...I had a fu app w/my doc a couple of months ago and he pretty much told me everything everybody has told me wait for final results at least a year. He did confirm that it looked uneven so i know its not just me being crazy. judgin on how my nose looks now I like what i see for the most part...I like the profile a lot better but i feel it looks really uneven from a front view...i'll keep waiting and post some pics soon ! good luck to everybody with their surg and recovery!

Hi, I'm here in Guatemala too until June 2010. I have seen some doctor's already in regards to Rhino-Septo plasty. Would you recommend your doctor? I'm very hesitant to have the operation and I need some reassurance that the doctor of my choice will be a good one. Maybe I have seen your doctor too.Can you email me at cr8d4him@gmail.com? Thanks in advance... J

wait for the swelling to go down, it really can take a long time. also you are not doing yourself a favour taking pictures so close to a camera without zoom - its called a fisheye effect, everything in the middle gets distorted and looks a lot bigger than in reality!
