“Rhinoplasty - nose same size as before???”
Rhinoplasty: NOT worth it
Cost: $9,000
Pain: Uncomfortable
Pain: Uncomfortable
Rhinoplasty satisfaction: Good
My nose looks the same as before, 2 weeks later. I was happy with the shape and size when I first saw my face after the operation, but since the splint has been removed my nose has gone back to the old size.
Was what I saw in the first hour after surgery the "true" size? If so, I am happy. I am just miserable to think I wasted all that money and will have to resize my tip again.

With the splint removed you will swell back up temporarily. Have your surgeon teach you night time taping techniques to control and mold the swelling. Your look the day of the splint removal is closer to your final nose than anything else, but with a year long recovery, there is still lots of work to be done. Good luck, Dr. Shah Denver

Thank you for the answer! The day of the surgery my nose looked very thin and tiny...the day of the splint removal the tip was swollen, but the upper nose was thin. I guess I will just go by what it looked like after removing the cast.
