Worth It
Spent: $16,000 in Virginia Beach, VA

I love everything about my surgery (tummy tuck, muscle tightening, breast lift and implants) and the recover pain was worth it to me. I did it to like what I saw in the mirror. I am pleased with the outcome and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Updated on Oct 30, 2009:
I had a tummy tuck with muscle tightening and a breast lift with implants in May. I am in love with the results but i still have some pain in the abs. I work out alot and I was wondering if that is causing pain. Also, I scar pretty bad so I was also wondering if the pain could be from scar tissue. I am more than willing to get used to the pain for the results I got but I am just worried that it could mean something is wrong. The pain goes vertically along the center of my abs (which is where they were sutured I assume). I am aware that some things just take time but I am just making sure this is normal. I was afraid when I started working out that it would rip if I started to early also. -- Updated on Oct 30, 2009: I had a tummy tuck with muscle tightening in May. I am ecstatic with how it looks but I have been having pain down the center of my ab muscles. I started working out again (situps, lifting, running) about 6 weeks post op and it is very uncomfortable but pain is something I can handle. If it is normal than I am ok with it but I am just concerned that something may be wrong. Is it normal to have pain in the ab muscles from the tightening? Could it be from scar tissue? Should I expect it to subside in time?

i only had a tt in may also and I still have pain. Some days better than others. I go to the gym and work out everything but abs. I do 20 second planks at the end and it's not too bad, but i'm still swollen sometimes too. does anyone know if you can tear your sutures 6 months out?
