Not Worth It
Spent: $800 in ireland

had this procedure done for mild acne scarring and some fine lines and wrinkles as recommended by beauty therapist. unsure whether to go ahead at first but therapist convinced me it would be helpful. was shown pictures of days after recovery and as effects looked mild i went ahead. big mistake.

as with other reviews i am left with an older, wrinklier me with severe under eye circles. suffered enormously after procedure. was red raw which i was surprised at. the pictures that were shown to me did obviously not include first day post laser. subsequently suffered bacterial skin infection which caused severe swelling, oozing and crusting all over face. had to seek medical treatment. therapist had no interest in helping me with these issues after treatment.

if you value your face do not go ahead with this treatment

I had the 3 Pearl laser treatments on my face for melasma and not only did it not work, I am left with even darker, more prominent spots, it got infected, I had to spend a week in the hospital, and I am now scarred because of it. It was very painful as well. I do not recommend this procedure for anyone for anything. It destroyed my face and now I have to wear a lot of make up and my face will never be the same. It was a very traumatic experience for me that I will never recover from.

I'm glad I found this site. A cheap and gental way to heal infections and minimizing fresh scars is Neosporin(also good for new acne) and for acne dark spots and any dark spots is Ambi fade cream found at Sally beauty supplies store. I have light skin use the fade cream on old acne spots and I had a sun spot on my nose last year used it for that and its gone suprizingly fast. It's way cheaper than the top of the line creams. Works great for dark stretch marks, frekles, flat moles, purple scars etc. I was looking into something that would tighten my skin more but doing some reaserch I changed my mind. I hope all is well. And I hope these tips do help.

I too had Pearl laser including the newer fractional version (both were applied one after the other during the same visit). I agree that the results are dismal and life changing while the procedure is incredibly painful. I look older and more wrinkled and the changes in my scars made them bigger. The "collagen effect" that is touted never happened even after many months. I'm sorry I went this route as the well-trained provider never gave a potential downside. Advice to anyone seeking wrinkle and scar improvement; do your research very, very carefully and get several consultations.
