theres lots of info more in depth if you google it, but basically the blood flow after surgery all rushes down there and will for a while. im two months post tt and while its not near as bad as that first month i still have it to a degree. thats why theres drain tubes for a while. my dr told me that incision acts like a dam so the more your massage it and reconnect the vessels the better the blood flow and swelling will be.

I agree with lovingheart 100%. My Dr did tell me that gravity pulls all the fluids, swelling etc there. However after 3 months post op he wanted to do some touch up lipo and get rid of a little more skin, so he offered to lipo that area for me while doing the touch up work. I love the way it looks and am thrilled with the results. Not near as painful the second time either because we weren't dealing with the muscles. Just skin and fat!!

Hello Sally 48. Can you tell me more about the pain and recovery? I plan to have a tummy tuck and breast lift. How long did it take you to recover? When did you return to work or normal activities? Thanks.

My pubic area was swollen also but was all gone within two weeks. I also found my vagina was sore a week later but that went away afte a few days. My nurse warned me though which was nice so when it did hurt i knew exactly why.
