Never Had Dysport or Botox Before, 1st Timer Reviews

I turned 37 this past January, and this was the year I began to feel my face was looking older. With the support of a friend whose 43 and been getting Botox since she was my age, we made a joint appointment. She explained to me the importance of having someone experienced do your procedure. Most of the "cons" reviews I've read seem to show signs of inexperience practitioners.

The other thing I've gleaned from reading reviews is that it seems to work differently for everyone.

I had a $500 budget, so the Nurse that did my injections checked my lines and asked what I wanted. I also have a very gummy smile so I mentioned that I would like that relaxed.

Needles don't really bother me so the pin pricks weren't too bothersome. I had just gotten a chemical peel the day before so it was the perfect timing to unveil a new face without it being "obvious" that I had Dysport.

Honestly, my nurse went with Dysport because of the $75 off coupon for the month and the fact that she really liked the results on herself.

150 units of Dysport and 2 days later, I had full results. My chemical peel took a few more days, so I didn't get to see the full effect until my skin was back to normal.

I didn't share my beauty secret with my husband, I wanted to see if he would notice. Sure enough he commented "I can't get over how different your skin looks. I mean it looks really good!"

I had no bruising, no pain.

I can't compare to Botox, as I've never had it.

But I feel really strongly that if considering either, ask around who is THE BEST in your area and set an appointment with that person. DON'T go to just anyone!

Great review?

May I ask what areas you did to total 150 units? What did you pay for them? Are you still happy with the results? I used Botox for crowsfeet, & just used Dysport, so I'm curious.

I did forehead, frown lines & between the eyes, crows feet, and the muscles just under my nose because I wanted to relax my very gummy smile. I paid $450 ($3.50 per unit) and then got the $75 rebate from Dysport about 6-8 weeks later. I got my Dysport first week of Oct. and notices it wearing off late January/early February. I was very happy with the results but have no point of reference since it was my first time. I haven't tried Botox. I am due to more, but haven't gone back yet. I would be curious to know what your experience is after comparing the 2?
