“Lower eyelid surgery left me with a hollow look”

Eyelid Surgery: NOT worth it
Cost: $3,500
Pain: Mild
Eyelid Surgery satisfaction: Poor
I do not recommend my Eyelid Surgery provider:
Why: just look at my face......obviously......she did not tell the truth
Seeking help:

what is my recourse in getting my money back or the above ....as i paid in full for a service i obviously was promised but did not receive?
Review of Eyelid Surgery:

i had my lower eyes done....the fat was suppossedly not taken out ...but moved so that i would not have that hollow look

well,i have that hollow look.....and i feel the doctor should pay a doctor of my choice to correct it

there is much more to this doctor than meets the eye and one should never judge a book by it's cover

a tip...always ask for your medical records

it was worth it if it were true...since i have the hollow look.....the dr. obviously misrepresented herself and her ability

amount spent........approximately $3,500.00

To enhance my appearance for the better As you can see from above...this what I thought would be a happy adventure turned out to be a nightmare and thus far, unfortunately remains a nightmare

Eyelid surgery is the closest answer I had lower eye surgery to move the fat and not to take the fat out so I would not have a hollow look....well I have a hollow look that cannot effectively be corrected I thought this problem could be rectified...until I did some research..... The "CURE" will make you look worse and cause more problems which will not be able to be corrected There may be a way to camouflage the hollow look ...unfortunately that will require more surgery ...with a thread lift and/or a superficial cheek lift I thought this up after the research showed ...essentially no help and no hope and out of pure desperation Warning........be very sure that the Physician who does any kind of surgical procedure on you that you check them out to be sure that they qualify to do the surgery in the first place so that they do not misrepresent themselves or their ability to your detriment.................some doctors are only book smart and get the certifications ..but they cannot effectively incorporate what they have learned into practice as it appears unfortunately in my case The Dr. who did my surgical procedure has been notified of this matter and asked me to contact her.....I did ...but thus far....unfortunately, the silence is deafening in trying to EXPEDITE and RESOLVE this matter in THIS fashion

I hope you have a good picture of yourself before surgery. You must call this doctor up or make an appointment to talk to her. Ask for your money back. Bring a friend with you. Over 50% of the doctors are quacks and they will tell you anything and over sell their skills to get your money for services not render. You should also consult several lawyers to see if you have a case. Don't hire lawyers that ask you for up front money first cuz they most likely will just take your money and do nothing. There is like only 15% good lawyers that have any morals. Let me know how your case go. I am very sick and tire of doctors that get away with blotched surgeries.

Hello, TheTruthWill, is right about having a before pic and witness when confronting this doctor. IF you get an appointment. They like to ignore or "wish you away" when it doesn't go right for them. In some cases the doctor will return your money along with a gag order for you to sign. They do not want a bad rap, especially with Websites such as this one out here.It is our only recourse and I'm thankful they are here. As far as Attorney and Legal charges. Malpractice is the only recourse and they are very difficult on any surgeon, but more so for plastic surgery. We choose to have this done and although we trusted the surgeons, and there professed skills,Juries view it as Vanity. In any case Malpractice is based on Neglect. It is up to you to prove the deformities left from this procedure was caused through neglect. Good luck with that and finding an attorney to take your case. As I said, Malpractice is anything but simply. Most attorneys won't touch them unless death or gross disablement was felt. Most states now have a Cap on Amounts paid after a review board decides if you even have a case. Trust me on this, as much as Doctors claim to pay in malpractice insurance, it is very difficult to prove, and will get worse before better. I know because I have been negatively altered in my facial appearance and have gone through all of it. Unfortunitly, my surgeon is still going strong, and I got zip refunded. However, I still have a voice and speak it loud and clear on Web sights that Rate a M.D. or Reviews. The doctors names are put in print. Not surprising,I wasn't the only one this doctor has changed for life in a negative manner. Hopefully a smart woman/man will seek out these sights for reference and rates on M.D.'s before they go under the knife. All that framed paperwork hanging on the walls of a physician office means squat if they are aggressive and unskilled. Most need to find another profession, but where else can you work and make there kind of money, be revered like a god,and drive brand new BMW's.I can't tell you how sickening it is to be contacted by a physicians staff, and have them ooze all over you, on how good the doctor is and how he will make you look 20 years younger. Those are usually red flags for me.I am currently seeking reversion, and have contacted many plastic surgeons in my area. I always get a call back, and told there the best.Contact this doctor first, and let him know his work is unacceptable. There always the Better Business Burual, it is a Business. Good luck to you.
