Have seen some thinning of legs but have bad discoloration (greying) exactly where bruises were, indents at sight of incision, the skin under where the bandages were are a different color than the rest of my leg (can see square), asymetry and pain in all areas that were worked on.

I did this to help boost my body image.

Updated on Jul 10, 2009:

It has been two and a half months, still see white squares from bandages and have bruise like pain in all areas that are still discolored.  The indents in my inner thigh make it so the fat on my knees are farther out than my thigh.

how long has it been since u noticed all of what u mentioned? maybe ur speaking too soon. i jumped the gun myself way too early...i mean its been almost a month, and i am still swollen and sore, but through my research i found out that not only is this normal, but it can take a couple months for the "clay effect" to go away, and for everything to get back to normal to see realistic results...

It has been two and a half months since my surgery. The fat on one of my outer thighs was obviously missed and I still have the feeling and pain of deep bruising. I am skeptical that my results will improve because so much time has passed. I have fairly large indents, so much so that the fat on my knees sticks out father than my innner thigh. The white squares that are on my legs are whiter than any other part of my body. After much research I am afraid that a particular tape or bandage (3m memory foam) that has not been approved for lipo and has been specifically warned by the company not to use for lipo, is possibly to blame. This specific bandage, along with the compression garment can lead to such discolorartion (hypopigmentation) I am furious that I called with my concerns and was given an appt. five weeks from my complaint. I am seeing a dermatologist before the sugeon so I have a bettr idea of what is happening. The doctors entire office has been closed for two weeks for vacation, including the other two doctors who practice there. If things get worse and the situation not rectified I will be naming the doctor to warn others.

oh my goodness. the office doesnt have an answering service that can page ur doctor for emergencies? man oh man, i am so sorry ur going through this. i mean, two and a half months is a while, but keep in mind its not "a whole lot of time". but the use of unauthorized tape/bandage...i have been telling this to others on here. go on doctors rating sites (like ratemd.com) and see if ur doctor has a history of complaints. my obgyn surgeon is the reason i had to undergo lipo and after the fact, i looked up his rating, and he was rated a 1.7 out of 10 being the best. i wish i had researched him long before i let him do my uterine surgery...
