“Trying again”

Lip augmentation: NOT worth it

Cost: $700
Pain: Uncomfortable
Lip augmentation satisfaction: Poor1 Star Rating: Poor

I wanted a larger upper lip. IT didn't work with juvederm, should I try it again? My doctor said it would work this time.

I had juvederm ultra injected in my lips and my body absorbed it and it didn't make my lips larger. My doctor says if I do it again it will work. How do I know this is true?

I sounds as though your doctor knows why it did not work the first time, and is unwilling to tell you. However, you should not have to pay for the second try, unless money is not a big limiting factor in your life. Personally, I would be in favor of interrogating the doctor over why the Juvederm would not work the first time, and try to nail down an explanation. It sounds to me as though you were injected with saline or some other rather benign substance. Even though I find this doctor's behavior dishonest, I think that the second attempt has a good chance of succeeding. Why should you have to pay twice is my question.
