“Darkness over Upper Lip - Egypt ”

pros: most hairs removed. hairs a lot thinner and lighter

cons: some pain and discomfort (but nothing serious and its worth it)

I did it because I had a lot of coarse hair on my face which was tiring to maintain.

The color of my skin above my upper lip is darker than the skin surrounding it. I have fair skin and really dark hair (that used to be coarse) but is now a lot thinner and less due to laser hair removal which has thankfully been very successful.

I removal any hair on my upper lip by threading, I use Photoderm spf everyday and I take really good care of my skin.

I've had these dark patches on my upper lip before i got the laser hair removal done so im pretty sure that wasnt the cause of them to appear. I do use a concealer to cover up the darkness (and i cant leave home without it on). My doctor says that the darkness is hardly obvious and theres no need to treat it but i can see it and it makes me very insecure so i need to treat it. He says that it is caused by the constant friction of threading and he prescribed a cream called skin care cream that i should apply every night before i go to bed.

I'd just like a second opinion as to what could be the cause of this hyperpigmentation and how i should go about treating it. Thank you
