Lifestyle Lift Failure - No Change in Jowl Area or Wrinkles Around Mouth

Not Worth It
Spent: $4,600 in Ohio

I had the lifestyle lift 8 weeks ago. There is absolutely no change in the jowl area and I still have all of the wrinkles around my mouth. The frown lines on both sides of my mouth are also still there. What a waste of money!

The only positive is I had liposuction under my chin and it is somewhat improved.

Would I do it again? Absolutely not! You can feel all of the painful shots and hear the cutting. What the doctor showed me I would look like in his office and how I truly look are two completely different things.

This review is the subjective opinion of a RealSelf member and not of RealSelf, Inc.

My Doctor: Name not provided

i would never recommend my doctor because when i was in his office he showed me how the results would look and there is no difference in the before and after

Gayle, Hi, I was wondering if you have any noticeable changes since you last posted? Many of us post and then never do the follow up as to good or bad. I know that you were not happy with the pain endured during the procedure but how are you feeling now about your lift? Best, Chrystal Eckes

I will leave no comment for now on that question. Hopefully soon, I will be able to follow up with my full story. Best, Chrystal

Chrystal, I know its been quite a while since I first talked about my surgery,so here goes. I am still completely dissatisfied with the whole procedure. I truly believe I look just the same as before the surgery, with the exception of one scar below my left ear. I don't know if it will ever go away. The doctor agreed to re-do the surgery but there is no way he will ever touch me again. I can't go through all of that again! I almost forgot to mention I have small knots under my neck, too. He just told me to massage them, I did and they are still there. Thanks again, Gayle

Hi Gayle, sorry that you are still unhappy. There is nothing that I can say to you that will take the pain away but know that you are not alone! I do hope that you can find a way to help the knots under the skin and as far as the scar goes, try scarderma available at the pharmacy. I hope you continue to heal and be well. Best, Chrystal.

I was scheduled for LSL in Tampa...but I am freaked out by the info I found on this site. I will have to lose my down payment of $400.00, but at least I will not have to worry about being ruined for life. My cost would have been $6,000 (with my discount, ha ha ). It is true, they do not tell you the truth about the healing process. I have learned my lesson, and it was expensive. I think I prefer my present face.

Dear Ohio, Where in ohio did you have the lsl? I was so desperately wanting this but not now. I should have known since I fell and broke my jaw 20 years ago and the great malo-facial doctor kept telling me how serious the surgery was that if he cut wrong I could be paralized or could never close my eyelid. I guess there is no quick fix. My office is in cincinnati.I wondered why when I signed up in 2007 and then cancelled the Doctor himself called me and left a message on my home recorder.Ohio let me know more of what they did.Donna
