“Did juverderm ultra plus for nasolabial folds... i look exactly the same”

Juvederm: NOT worth it

Cost: $1,200
Pain: Mild
Juvederm satisfaction: Fair2 Star Rating: Fair
I recommend my Juvederm provider: Name not provided
Why: Great doctor maybe just not for someone with my facial issues.

After a year of research on facial fillers on sites such as this, I finally succumbed yesterday to Juvederm Ultra Plus for my nasolabial folds. I chose a reputable facial plastic surgeon in the LA area aware that I was going to pay much more than if I went to an aesthetician or a Cos. Derm. As everyone sais, "you pay for what you get". Well, I beg to differ.

Although extremely anxious(had to take a zanax) because of all the negative information I've read, I was surprised when the doctor said he wanted to fill other areas of my very thin face, even though I was only concerned with the NL folds & lip area. Im 48,admit I love the sun and realize my complextion reflects this. What was I to say, he's the professional, right??

Anyway, I felt most of the filler was used in other areas of my face with not enough injected in the NL folds. I believe 2 syringes were used, but wasnt going to ask. My lips look a bit fuller (however a little smaller now that the swelling has subsided) but I swear the rest of my face looks exactly the same. I'm concerned because I know this filler doesnt last long and if I cant see a difference now, forget 4 months from now. Perhaps, my expectations were too high or I am super critical.

I spent alot of money on such a vain endeavor that my friends & family say is completely unnoticeable. I hate to go back and be one of those patients that complain especially when they pull out the before & after picture and say "See how much better you look". Oh well. live & learn.
