I had Restylane 2 years ago for the lines around my mouth (jowels under the corner of my mouth and the lines on the side/upper part of my mouth. It was $500 then, I had a small bruise on the top of my mouth and was satisfied with the results. It wasn't totally over the top, but I had realistic expectations and it lasted about a year.
This morning I decided to do another treatment (two years later, and am 50 this month)and we did Juvederm this time (both times by the RN) No brusing at all, went right back to work, and I have to say the results are much more notibeable than the Retylane two years ago. Am very satisfied, hope it stays around as long as the previous treatment.
Cost was $550, and I don't know how much she used, but about 5 or 6 injections on both sides. It hurt some, but she mixed in some numbing stuff with the Juvederm, so the last injections didn't really hurt at all. But I'm big baby with pain and I could handle very well. Some redness afterward but went away in an hour or so.
