I've Had Numerous Non-invasive Treatments...I'm Lukewarm on Radiesse

Not Sure
Spent: $850 in WA

Of the non-invasive procedures I've had done (Artefill, Thermage, Sculptra) I'd have to put Radiesse into the 'lukewarm' category with Thermage. Had Radiesse to help provide some lift to mildly sagging cheek skin. Previously I had had three Sculptra treatments and that product produces a very soft, natural volumizing of skin. Yes, it is pricey and yes it takes a month or two to really produce it's effect but there is no other product available like it in the U.S.

I decided to go with Radiesse last time and immediately found the product too firm for my liking. Unlike Sculptra which produced a very broad, soft filling effect, Radiesse basically felt like I had a cheek implant stuck in to extend my cheekbone out. The skin around it was just as lacking in volume as before. I also had noticeable swelling for weeks afterward and had to have some lymphatic drainage done to get rid of that. When it all settled...my main thought was "Thank goodness it only lasts for 12-18 months tops."

I was glad to have it gone from my face. Back to the tried and true now with Sculptra (and a little Artefill in nasolabial folds). :) Giving it an undecided rating because I feel that in the right individual and right circumstance, this product might be acceptable.
