“At 50, invisalign fixed drifting teeth”

Invisalign: Worth it

Cost: $5,000
Pain: Mild
Invisalign satisfaction: Excellent5 Star Rating: Excellent
I recommend my Invisalign provider: Sign in or join to view provider name
Why: She is an excellent dentist, very conscientious, quite technically accomplished, an excellent listener, and very responsive. She is so good that I once fell asleep while she was filling two cavities and I'm a "nervous Nellie" type of patient. Highly recommended.

As an adolescent, I had two full sets of traditional braces, one upper set of braces, many retainers, and ten years worth of treatment so all my major problems (quite bad) had been resolved.

As I reached 50, I was aware my teeth had drifted so I talked to my dentist about Invisalign. She is a superior dentist, but she was just starting to offer Invisalign, so we learned together through the process.

The process took a year, including refinement. My results have been excellent, I had pain only when I changed to a new set of Invisaligners, my oral hygiene improved, the lisp caused by the liners was hardly noticeable and has now ceased, my TMJ was somewhat higher with the liners but TMJ is worsened by the slightest thing and I think it is now lessening, I'm very satisfied and would recommend Invisalign except in cases where bite modification is necessary or there are other major dental problems; some cases require traditional braces.
