Melasma Treatment: Stories

I feel I have to leave a review, because I live in Brazil, I looked my doctor on the site (Fraxel's) and after making my first appointment, I found this site, and went into serious doubts...For some reason, and after many many questions, I decided to go ahead. I cannot tell yet about results on my melasma (above the lips) but I felt I had to say something about the not negative results, at least.

After my first treatment (I was told to do 4) I was a little bit swollen, some redness, but believe me, nothing to be scared about!!! I even went with a friend to the movies (ok, it is dark inside), I mean, I was feeling ok with my image... Today, 24 hs after the second treatment, I know they increased the power a little bit, but same thing, even better I think... It is a kind of uncomfortable, the 3 time they go onto your face, I can say is painful somehow, but I could stand it, and I am not ver "pain tolerant"... I really believe it is important to make sure WHO is going to perform the treatment (here in Brazil, it was done by a Doctor, not a tech), and I was given a pill one hour before the treatment to reduce the pain, and also applied a cream all over my face as an anesthetic .

Hope you find this review helpful, since I was so scared with those pics before getting the courage to make my own decision. Please ask as many questions to your doctor as needed!!!
