“Bell's Palsy After Upper Eyelift, Lower Face/neck Lift”
I'm one week out from a lower face/neck lift and eye lift. I'm still having pain on one side of my neck requiring a mild narcotic pain reliever. Otherwise my pain is tolerable with plain Tylenol. (I know because I tried it!).
Updated Mar. 16, 2010:
I had a facelift and bilateral upper blepharoplasty Aug 09. I was happy with the facelift but had swelling of both eyelids that didn't go away.
In Feb 10 I had repeat eyelid removal of additional fat. I had dry eye after this 2nd surgery in my left eye and was referred to an opthalmologist. He said I had mild Bell's palsy with minimal lagophthalmos.
Was this a complication of the surgery? I didn't have problems with dry eye before and had never been diagnosed with Bell's palsy or lagophthalmos before.
