“Lower Eyelids Worse Than Before Surgery”

Upper and Lower eyelid surgery to make me look more awake and less tired and remove loose skin and open up my eyes. Felt it was ageing me especially after previous facelift. After surgery thought I would be fine - felt fine and upper eyes healed well. I have not got this puffiness and red discolouration under skin under both eyes and look and feel worse than before operation (3 months ago). The surgeon keep telling me nothing can be done other than wait patiently for it to go.

please tell me what I can do to get rid of this problem - will it go on its own - it was not there straight after surgery - developed a few days later - what could it be? Thank you.
