Botox Never Worked for my Frown Lines but Dysport Did!

Worth It
Spent: $400 in Phoenix, AZ

pros: unlike botox that never worked for me... I'd spend lunch breaks after lunch breaks going back and forth between my dermatologist, med spas, plastic surgeon offices trying to get rid of my frown lines and it simply felt like i was gambling my money away trying to do so. After about a year of absolutely no results my derma - just explained that perhaps my strong ethnic muscles were too much of a challenge for Botox.

I was excited to learn from this site that there was alternative to Botox and it perhaps worked better. I read many of the blogs and it had its thumbs up and some down. However, I was up for the challenge once again. Yes, it finally worked for me. 24 hrs and there it was - magic! I no longer have a poopy face while i focusing intensely at work or standing directly under the sun. I simply look as I did at 30 - somewhat normal.

Cons: The treated areas do feel slightly tender.

Unlike Botox... Dysport does not make me look surprised. However, at 37 - it perhaps wouldn't be so bad for me to look as if something wonderful happened to me all of the sudden! lol in short, I'm sold on Dysport!

I week post-dysport... it got better! I had eye surgery this week - so you'll notice my right eye blood red.

i recently had my forehead, eyes, nose crease and upper lip treated and let me tell you - everyone noticed a big difference in my appearance. Dr. M is very detail oriented and she will study your face/profile to determine what will work best for you. She's very direct and will not try to push products you don't need. It is refreshing to see a young female physician to treat me. I've been to many cosmetic surgeon offices and they generally have older nurse practitioner that had over filled lips to absolutely frozen faces. You won't see that on Dr M - you'll encounter professionalism, attention to detail and confidence that she will do whatever it she can to make you look your best!

By the way, I am 37... My boyfriend couldn't recognize my eyes on this blog... he said it looked like an old ladies picture not that of a 37 yr old. Not sure what to say or think about his comment.

Your boyfriend's comment is ridiculous! Maybe he doesn't realise you are squinting in the pics because you are trying to frown (but can't). Men...
