I did it because I lost close to 100 lbs. and had some excess skin that I just wasn't happy with.

The procedure went really well and the discomfort has been what I expected. My doctor put a pain pump in that definitely helped in limiting the pain. He put two drains in. The one on the left was removed 4 days ago, but the one on the right is still draining.

It's been exactly 2 weeks today post-op, but the drainage was a total of 55cc's today and 60 yesterday. Is this normal and should I be concerned?

He has a wonderful bedside manner. He is very kind, caring, and professional at the same time. I would also say he is somewhat of a perfectionist, which is a definite plus!

Glad to hear that one of my colleagues did a great job. Makes the old adage :"A rising tide lifts all boats" ring true. Do NOT worry about the second drain. The drains ALWAYS put out different amounts of fluid. Moreover, as you get more active it will put out even more. It always comes down and when it does this drain will also be removed and you will feel even better. REMEMBER to eat properly to aid in proper wound healing. Peter A Aldea, MD, FACS, Memphis, TN

Hello Mapow. I live in Smyrna and need a TT and hernia repair. Did you have your procedure done in or near Murfreesboro and what's the name of your surgeon?
