I am two days post op, and other than question above am happy.

The procedure went very smoothly and I didn't have much pain for the first 6 hours (probably because of the local anesthetic injected into the site). I had a lot of swelling when I got home but it thankfully seems to be going down. Monday (it's saturday now), I go back to get the drains out and am hopeful I'll get to see them!

I am 2 days post op after having 425 cc gel implants placed under muscle. The soreness seems to be getting better. But today I am having a burning (searing)? Pain on my left side (under armpit) everytime I stand up, walk, or bear any weight on the left side. Also, there is so much pressure that it is hard to take a deep breath. Are these symptoms normal? When can I expect them to get better - at least stand up by myself?

Some pain is normal but when in doubt it's best to see your surgeon.

This related thread might help as well, from another RealSelfer experiencing a searing pain a few days after surgery: Too much pain after Breast implants

Best of luck with your recovery. :)

I am 8 weeks post op and I absolutely love my breast. I had a tummy tuck done at the same time, which is fantastic. I had 430cc in one breast and 450cc in the other. The first day home from surgery I thought I had an elephant sitting on my chest as it was so tight and could barely take a breath. For the first few days the pain was immense and I looked at my breast and said to myself "what on earth were you thinking to do this to yourself" I hated them and the pain was tough, but oddly enough it is like child birth, it is a pain you forget. I am at 8 weeks and my breast are still high but there is no more pain. Make sure you follow your dr's instructions when he tells you to massage them, it truly does help. Good Luck.
