i had a breast enlargement in 1985, had the implants replaced with new four years ago, the doctors without asking my permission replaced my implants with much bigger ones which were getting in my every day life and a back ache.

help towards hardened implants, i had this operation only seven weeks ago.
Great review?

My Doctor: name not provided

he has a very good repetation indeed, in my case i was unlucky, perhaps because at the time of my operation was in the middle of august and very hot, i made the bandage lose as it was too hot to bear,i believe this is why one of the stiches came undone

Hello It sound from your description of largeamount of fluid, redness hard etc you most probably have an infected implant. It needs investigation if so the implant need to be removed and infection treated. wait six months then you can replace the implant

Hi Susette,

Silicone ruptures are notoriously hard to detect. It requires an MRI, so you should call or visit your doctor if you suspect this is happening. Hardness can be a sign of other things too (such as capsular contracture - more likely for newer implants or if both of your implants are hard) so at this point, if it's still bothering you, IMHO you should get in touch with your doctor. S/he will be able to diagnose you properly.

Best of luck,

Hi Susette -- Do you have silicone implants? Hardening can be a sign of leakage. Here's a related thread with more information: Hard breast implants

Thank you Sharon very much for responding to my e-mail,is the leak not dangerous? and what can i do about it,and if it is not dangerous will the breast become less hard at all? Many thanks and kind regards Susette

As for whether it's safe to leave a leaking implant, this Doctor Q&A page might help: Risky to wait before removing ruptured Silicone breast implants?

The older your implants are, the more likely it is that you have the old type silicone implant, which can cause greater risk if it leaks.

Above all, if you suspect a rupture has occurred, you should definitely see a doctor. You'd need to be examined properly to determine the extent of the damage and the impact it will have on your body.

Good luck!

Thank you very much again for responding to my e-mail and question that is really kind of you sharon. However the implants are only two months old now, what i would be very grateful is that if you can tell me whether there is a special test to determine whether there is a ruptured implant or not, Many thanks and kind regards Susette

When the stitch became undone it caused a big and deep wound, lots of odorless yellow liquid seeped through, until now and after seven weeks of surgery the wound is still seeping out a bit of that ,although not as much as before, the breast is still looking very red and is quite sore, my problem is with the soreness and the hardness and also between my right breast and ribs i have this muscle pain which restricts me of where i place my arm when lying down, please help me
