tolerable pain. did it because i felt my a cup was loosing elasticity and volume. wanted to give more volume and tightness to the skin. never wanted to be big, artificial, just a little volume.

after many consultations i wanted a 155cc silicone textured round moderate profile. i am 5'1 and weight 111pounds, very petitte frame but athletic. my doctor recommended me 175cc as it shrinks a bit, and i did 4 days ago.

i feel huge, sad as i do not recognize myself, i can't wear my clothes as are all shirts tight and i am getting depressed for having it.... will it really shrink? is it possible that i am swollen to a double size?

Dear Unhappy Patient, the size difference between 155 and 175 cc is not a large amount. At day 4 post op you are in the maximal phase of swelling. Over the next week the swelling will improve and the size may not seem so drastic. Your doctor will guide you through this process and i am sure that you will be happy with the results. Hi, my wife is a bit talker than you, 5'4" 115lbs and is planning to get Silicone moderate implants in the 150-200cc range which her Dr recommends based on her very narrow rib cage. She is a small A-cup and desires a mid-full B. She is very concerned about people knowing she had BA. I'm thinking she will have intial swelling regardlesss if she goes 150 or 200's. But she will likely err on the small side hoping that no one will notice she had BA. I'm concerned that in the long run she will regret going that small because many women I know, who've had BA, tend to look significantly smaller (25-30%) a year or two down the line. I'd love to get your thoughts........

Hi, I had 175cc and was quiet swollen and large up to 14days post op. I think it will settle down after 2-3 weeks and you should see then drop, I am the same height and weight as you and I have gone from a A to a large B/small C cup and am happy with my size for my frame. Just give it some time.

Hi, my wife is having BA in Dec. She is 5'4" 113lbs and is currently a My wife is a small 32A. She wants to be a mid-full 32B post-op. Her Dr doesn't try sizers until the time of surgery so she is sort of worried about getting the right sized implants. We know about providing pictures for the Dr and she will do that. My question is about the rice test. Is it accurate at all? We've read that 236cc equal about one cup of dry rice put into panty hose and put that in the post op sized bra (32B-no padding in my wifes case). Is this worth trying just to give her some piece of mind. She does not want people to know she had surgery so I think she will err on the small side. My guess is that a 220 or 225 moderate or moderate plus gel implant wil lget her the size she desires without looking like a porn star or a C-cup. She is very athletic, fit and trim and looks 10yrs younger than her 44 yrs. Her Dr said her ribcage is very narrow and with very little tissue above he nipple so he'll use a 10.5-11cm implant. She has no sagging at all and very nicely shaped, though small, breasts.

Hi, my wife is also considering BA in the 150-200cc silicone gel. She is going with the Mentor moderate profile. Did you get the round high profiles or moderate? My wife is also concerned about looking too big and I think she'll end up going too small just so no one knows she had BA done. That's her biggest concern, that nobody can tell. I'm thinking the initial swelling will make it obvious whether she goe with 150 or 200. She is currently a small A and desires to be a mid-full B. My guess is 175 is just right. She has a very narrow rib cage so her Dr suggested nothing larger than 11cm diameter and in the 150-200 range. What your thoughts and has your swelling improved? Many women I know, end up looking 25-30% smaller a year or two post op.

Hi! It's been exactly a month since my BA. I am not as big as i was in the beginning and to be honest, I think I got the right size. I am wearing the same clothes that I wore before and my breasts are firmer. I got silicone, high profile under the muscle. But she must be prepared for the initial "shock". You sleep in a way than you wake up with huge, really high, painful breast... so i have to be honest i got depressed asking myself why i have done it.... i looked myself in the mirror and cried almost a week, then it started to look better and better, and now I am very happy that I got this size and not bigger, not smaller. But she needs to known all the phases that she will go thru, and you... lots of patience..........

So tell me your height/weight, pre-op/post-op cup size and implant cc's again please. My wife is 5'3 3/4 and 113 lbs. She's a pre-op 32(small)A. Wants to be post op 32(mid-full)B. Her biggest concern is that noone can tell she's had the surgery size wise. She has a small narrow ribcage and plans to go with 150-200cc Mentor moderate profile gel. What do you suggest is the best size, 150,175 or 200? Also, her Dr is using the periaereolar insition and we've heard lots of things about changes in nipple sensation.any thoughts on that. Thanks.

She decided to go with 225 or 250cc moderate plus mentor silicone gel implants. She feels like that size is kinda in between. Not big not small but easy to dress down for modesty or go the other way if she wants show them off in T-shirt, braless. She's 5'4" 113. Do you think that's about right? She does NOT want high profile and has read that moderates are underfilled, can have ripples and generally look deflated above the nipple. Moderate plus is z good inbetween giving just a little perkiness w/o being round like a ball.

I am almost like her. I 5'2 and 111lbs. Pre-op 32A with little breast tissue. I got 175cc- mentor high profile gel, under the muscle. Periaerolar incision and I did not loose any sensation at all, actually I wish I had while I was healing... I felt everytime I shower, dress my bra and the massage with some cream for the scar. My doctor, based on what I wanted, suggested 195cc but I was scare of the size and decided for 175cc. Honestly...now, 6 weeks later, I think I could have gone more (the 195cc he suggested). No one can notice anything and I am wearing all my original clothes, only changed bras because they were all padded! My breast looks firmer, higher and natural. If she really wants to go unnoticed, I suggest 175cc, because too small I understand that end up looking weird with the implant smaller than the breast.

So You got high-profile? She was planning to get moderate profile slicone but is now considering moderate-plus since she has very little breast tissue above the nipple. She's convinced high profile will look too round, high and fake. I'm thinking the moderate will sag in years to come making her look deflated and that the moderate plus is good compromise between high profile and moderate. it'd be nice if she bad some shape or roundness at the top but not overly round. That's awesome you didn't loose nipple sensation. I thought she would.

Did you ever do the rice test (1-cup rice=200cc fitted into post surgery sized bra) before your surgery? Is it accurate?? My wife is trying it this weekend. Trying 200 and 225 in a 32B bra with no padding. All her current bras have thick padding.

Did you take before and after pics? If so, Did they give you a discount to use them on the Dr's website? Her surgery will be $6,770 so we hoped get a discount. My wife is considering the 175-250 range now. She wants a FULL B. What do you think is best? I think about 225cc Mentor Silicone Moderate-Plus is perfect...

I'm an anesthetist in an accredited plastic surgery office and I'll ell you that the biggest mistake people make is getting fixated on the ccs. This is just a number that looks different on each person because of their breast tissue and frame. You should pick out some good pix for your doctor that you want to look like. The "ccs" are irrelevant. Some wome just need a lift and not an implant. Hi, did yours ever improve? I just need some advice. My wife is having BA in Dec. and she's torn about implant size... Either 175cc Mentor Silicone Moderate profiles or 200-225cc Mod+. She is small A-cup and only wants to be a mid-full B-cup. Does not want C's.. She is 5'4" 113lbs, lean, athletic, has over 10.5cm- but less than 11cm breast base dia. She wants to have boobs but not huge ones and wants a natural look. She wants to be able to go braless and be the size she currently is wearing overly padded bras. Wants nobody to know she had BA. Her PS said she will never need a lift and has no sagging at all at age 44 with little upper breast tissue, and perfect nipple position. She a very narrow ribcage bit does NOT want high profiles or a ball shaped breast..she is not the type to research this at all. I'm the type who researches everything. Her PS won't discuss cup size, does not use sizers at all until surgery. He relies solely on pics patient picks out. He is a very repected PS who does great work. We just want to get it right the first time because $7K is a lot of money. Thanks in advance for your valued input! Any advice will be much appreciated.

oh my god I totally get you!!! I'm also 5'1 around 110lb. I wanted a AA to a B but got impulsive and got a 280cc silicone and it made me into a 32C!!! I felt HUGE and can't wear any of my clothes and I look...bigger...
It's been a year and I have decided I want to get a reduction... Don't know what size though. What size are you after the 175cc??

Hello I have the same problem of going too big and want a reduction. PS chose 300cc-400cc range for my 32A 5'5" athletic frame. I loved to 300's but the nurse and my friend urged me to embrace cleavage and ultimately I caved to the "go big or go home" advocates. On day of surgery I went out of my comfort zone, outside PS recommendations and chose 450cc! Money aside, is it critical to wait 6mos or just prudent? Instead of enhancing my body I changed my shape. My PS wont touch me for 6mos., so should I find another PS to do redo sooner? After reading this forum is 300 small enough or should I go with even less?

I'm curious what advice people have for me - I'm 5ft4in, weigh 110. My saline implants are 250. I feel much bigger than I wanted to go. Considering a revision. I'd like to end as a mid/full B. I'm 1month post op. Any advice? Thanks!
