After my lift/augmentation i was in pain for about a week, it's not been 3 weeks and still have some pain but it's tolerable. would do again.. only worry is that my nipples are too low and not sure if this is normal.

Updated October 25, 2009

I can't comment if I'm happy or not because I have unanswered questions. I think my nipples are still too low but not sure what my options are.

I'm still unhappy and think they look odd especially the left one. what do you think and what are my options. I had 400 cc under the muscle with a lollipop lift but an incision in the crease from implant placement also.

Surgery went well and not too much pain. I had lost a lot of weight and had really saggy deflated breast. I was looking to have perky breast.

I had a breast lift w/ augmentation in Sept 2009, my nipples are still very low and my left breast is kinda wierd shaped. Is this normal this far out?.

Hi Jade,

You didn't do anything wrong. :) Your question was sent automatically to doctors in this area of expertise but they reply at their discretion, so it can sometimes take a few days to receive a response.

I think you have to go to the ask the Dr section and post it.

Here's a related Doctor Q&A page that might help: Drooping nipples after breast lift and implants

Since you're still pretty early in the healing process, from the sound of the doctors' responses, your implants will settle down and your nipples will move up with time.

Good luck with the rest of your recovery!

Thanks you! It's only been a month but spending that kind of money I hoped to love them right away since i"ve hated them for years. But I have patience.... =)

You can tell that the nipples will move up, because ur breast implants are still sitting up high, you still have swelling too. give it another 6 weeks before feeling concerned about the appearance

Hi Jade1100, Did you talk to your PS regarding your concern?
jade1100 15 Nov 2009
I did talk to himm and he said that give them a good 6 months to drop and settle then I will be happy. He said if they put your nipples where they belong at first they"ll be pointing to the sky when settled. So fingers crossed he"s right. Thanks!

I think he is right. I've seen pictures with nipples pointing to the sky and they look really bad. Hang in there and good luck! :)

Did you ask your dr that after 3-6 month if your nipples don't move up and you are not happy with the final results is he going to do a revision to move your nipples up for free?? My dr told me that if we need to do a revision I would only pay for the supplies. I am so happy with the results I don't think that I will need a revision. Good luck and I hope that you won't need one and I hope that you will be happy with the final results.

Thank You! He said if I do need a revision that I pay for operating room and anesthesia which I think is quite high? But he thinks they'll be fine so I'm not going to worry until April when I go back. I'm glad you're happy with your results.

Thank you SO much for sharing your experience. I had a lollipop lift with augmentation on March 25, 2010 and I too, expected different results. The same issues you were having are mine at this point. I have also been told the same things, the nipples will rise as the implants settle and to be patient. So thank again I thank you for sharing, it is always nice to know you are not alone. Please post an update on your results.

I think to have your nipples placed hire the doctor would need to completely remove them and place them back again. Basically, the shape of yoru breast will not change after implants, so if your nipples sit lower on yoru breast I don't think this will change after breast implants, that is what I was told anyway.

A surgeon doesn't remove the nipple from the breast. The skin around the nipple is removed and the nipple is lifted to a higher position. Looking at your photos I believe you would of been a better candidate for a lift with a smaller 350cc implant. Your nipples are pointing downwards so there is no other way around it. You need to see a surgeon that has many years of experience and can show you before and after photos. I'm not sure why he decided on such a large implant without a lift as your nipples appear to sit below the crease of your breast. Best of luck.

Oh I apologize I see from your post you did have a lift?? I'm not sure what the lift achieved. Have you had a revision since. I see its been a while since you have posted.
