Worth It
Spent: $800 in Brisbane, Australia

I had Botox for lines under and around my eyes. I have had it before and it was fine. this is the first time bruising.

Updated on Aug 6, 2009:

It has been almost one week since I had the treatment around my eyes, and immediately after the botox i had a lump where the bruise is now. I still have a large bruise the size of a 5 cent piece on the brown bone on the side of my right eye. Will this go away and is it cause for concern?

Is it safe to have bruising 2 days after botox injections administered around the orbital bone and near the temple.

Unfortunately bruising can happen after peri-orbital injections to treat crow's feet. Bruises typically last 5-10 days depending on the severity. Try warm, moist compresses and topical Arnica to speed up the healing process.

I got terrible bruises under my eyes following my Botox treatment last week. This is my first ever treatment, and I look like I just got out of a boxing match. I am on day 7 and the bruises have all widened to the size of a 50 cent piece, but yellowing as well. They are blue, purple, green & yellow and I can't cover them. Might skip the eye treatment next time. I have been using arnica cream 3 times a day as well. Just started using hot compresses yesterday. I think it will be another week before they are gone.
