Not Worth It
Spent: $300 in Bay Area, CA

Iam a 31yr old female with the beginnings of crows feet. I decided, after a lot of thought, to give botox a shot.

I got a very small amount - supposedly the smallest my Dr. administers - to my crows feet. Not worth it.

It's now been 3 days and I am experiencing some side effects. The insomnia and anxiety is the worst. I literally have not slept more than 1/2 an hour in the past 2 nights combined! The anxiety is pretty bad too. I am praying that this is the worst of it. I realize, after reading some other reviews here, that I am not alone on this one. Does anyone know how long this will last? I want to feel like me again.

My Doctor: Name not provided

I would not recommend my Dr. They didn't ask any questions beforehand or go over the procedure. Even though I have researched it I would have liked them to talk to me about it - it was my first ( and now last ) experience. They just seemed more interested in pushing me out the door.

I had anxiety for 6 days straight.. I felt on edge and would wake up at night with my heart beating and feeling like l was going crazy. It does subside so just ride it out and try not to drink anything that has caffine, plus drink heaps and heaps of water. Trust me l know how that feels im on day 12 and am now dealing with other 'botox' issues. Hope this helps.

Were you already an anxiety sufferer? Because I was, and the first time I had it done the whole 'i've just had botox' thing shook me to the core, I was having panic attacks so bad I couldn't speak! To cut a long story short, I've been having it since and no anxiety at all now that I know what the results are. I don't believe at all that it was the botox. It was my mind playing tricks on me that I was going to get droopy eyelid, or just general fear and grossness of having something so unnatural done. It will subside so good luck :) x

Yes l used to suffer anxiety in the past but restricing stress and caffine has helped me keep it in control. The botox did give me an anxiety trigger yet this type of anxiety wasn't one that l could will away like l used to it was constant and flowing which assured me that it was the botox. I felt quite ill and very strange and i've had panic attacks in the past but this was a different almost hightened feeling that did wear off and left me thinking was it me, however now l have puffy eyes to the point where l look very very stange and the anxiety has gone when it should still be present considering l look so darn horrible so my conclusion to all the anxiety is that the botox caused it but it wore off as it took full effect.

Hey sweetie, I feel sorry that you have to go through this. I think that your anxiety may be related to a fear about the possible outcome. You are quite young for anti wrinkle injections, so I assume that you must be quite worried about aging , looking perfect etc.The combination of worried about your looks and if the botox will do what is promised plus maybe a oversensitivity to the stuff itself may have been enough to cause your panic attacks. When I had my first botox I was so nervous and anxious but since then I have been alright.Saying this, if this sets you off in such a horrible way for you , you probably shouldn't give it another go, as your inner well being should be always more important than your looks. Imsommnia and panic attacks are scary , but if it is only the botox and the doctor only injected a tiny amount it shall be out of your system very soon and fading. Try not to panic, this is not going to cause anything permanent and you will be ok soon. For your anxiety I would like to recommend this book from bronwyn Fox "Power over Panic", a little but very helpful book. Look after yourself, love from Australia, Adventura

Look afyer yourself and dont ever do botox again. The side effects only get worse with continued use... Believe me I should know.
